Our current property system doesn't work for everyone. People are missing out on good quality accommodation, let alone the benefits of ownership. And the people who are missing out seem to be the same people who miss out all the time.
Surely we can do better.
Surely we want to do better.
The problem seems so big, the answer so unclear, the issues so complex and convoluted, the timeframes for proposed solutions extend past our lifetimes, and there are no guarantees.
By definition, the solutions to this problem will be creative.
We've been accustomed to small tasks, with defined outcomes and simple, proven and immediate solutions. Which doesn't inspire creativity.
So we merely need to set aside our traditional approach, and allow space for creativity. We need to set out to deliberately create the conditions for creativity.
