Energy expenditure and balance

Forget about photovoltaic arrays for a second. We're not talking about thermal bridging here. Put aside the thought of passive solar and thermal mass.

This is about our energy. And Balance.

My energy. Your energy. Our energy.

As people.

As communities.

As a society.

We expend energy on property. Individually and collectively, we pour intellectual energy, commercial energy, mental energy, family energy, political energy, and physical health into property.

In the name of property, and in pursuit of property: We research. We employ. We strategise. We relocate. We debate campaign. We get sick and die.

Our energy is finite. And there are problems to be solved. By our intellect. Our commerce. Our minds. Our relationships. Our politics. And our physical presence.

How much energy do we have? Where does the balance lie?
